GULU-UGANDA: Dr. Paska Apiyo Gulu COVID-19 the in-charge of Case Management confirmed that Kenyan Track Driver who was transferred from Elegu boarder point along Uganda-South Sudan .
Dr. Apiyo says the Kenyans driver who was picked on Saturday April 25 was tested against COVID-19 but his result came negative,however when he was brought in Lacor Hospital in critical condition they have to take his blood sample against
The 18 years lady the second person who died in isolation ward in Lacor hospital her result came negative which was taken to Entebbe COVID-19 center, this cast doubt whether the Kenyan track driver his result is not yet back today,
St Mary Hospital Lacor are yet to confirmed Rapid diagnostics Test result of the death patients, if confirmed that the two people death bodies lying in St. Mary Hospital Lacor are positive COVID-19 pandemic, then Gulu, Northern Uganda are the first areas where COVID-19 pandemic reported, although the patients has been brought from Lango and Elego, along Uganda-Sudan boarder point.

“Re: Death of 2 patients from Lacor Hospital isolation ward. there has been rumor circulating that 2 suspected patients of COVID-19 died from Lacor hospital isolation ward.
As a hospital we would like to inform the public that since during of the last week the hospital received 3 patients that presented with signs similar to that COVID-19.
Unfortunately 2 of the patients passed on yesterday Sunday 26th, the 2 patients were referred from neighboring health facilities in critical condition.
the reason we isolated them because the other underlying condition they met the Ministry of Health criteria for COVID-19 suspicious.
We are now waiting for the results of the samples from these patient.
Asa hospital,we continue to be very alert and to screen all our clients at all entry points into the hospital.as of today Monday April 27th 2020,Lacor hospital has no confirmed cases of COVID-19
