AMURU-UGANDA: On Monday President Museveni sneaked to Apaa Sub County, Amuru District and met Apaa community disregard to fear of the Acholi community planing to boycott meeting him. his surprise visit was not known to the media and Acholi communities.
President Museveni after meeting the Apaa community went to Adjumani District, in West Nile where he also met the Madi communities where he discussed Apaa land issues, sources intimated.
Dictator Museveni last week when he was in Omoro District he promised to pitch camp in Acholi Sub Region to monitor economic activity, however, top on his programs according to kitchen cabinet, sources alluded that the big man want to meet all the Local Council 3, the District Chairpersons and all Members of Parliament from the region to discuss Apaa land conflict and security issues, sources said.
However, Mike Lakony the District Chairman for Amuru laugh off the planned Acholi leaders schedule meeting planned on May 30, 2019.
“There is no need meeting President Museveni on issues of land, if he want to kill us, and take our land, let him do so. we are ready to die for our land.” Mr. Lakony warns
