UGANDA: ELECTORAL COMMISSIONERS PRESIDENTIAL ROAD MAP OF SCIENTIFIC VOTING IS MUSEVENISM

The Electoral Commissioner has failed to make consultation with key stakeholders to get their view on Presidential and Parliamentary election road map a head of the February 2021 General Election, and tricked out opposition political parties under the multi-parties’ political dispensation

GULU-UGANDA: Lyandor Komakech, the MP for Gulu Munipality has faulted the Chairman of Electorate Commissioner for downplaying the role of the opposition in exploring what can be done between now September and December 2020.

For me, I think the first thing the Electoral Commissioner should have done was to internalized the process and come out with clear guide on how election is going to be conducted. As a supreme body, Uganda Electoral Commissioner is aware that the constitution gives up to the end of February 2021 for presidential polls to take place.

Hon Komkech says the present era of COVID-19 pandemic is comes with a lot of burden and its unprecedented even that has put the whole world into fears. Based on this, its candid for the electoral commissioner find better ways to see how election should have been undertaken with a need to start off with regional consultation other than coming up with their own ideology and imposing it on the populace.

“it is very bad that the EC went to meet the president and made up their mind on behalf of Ugandan Political Opposition Parties”

He urges that this is one way in which prospective candidates who have been in the frontline want to utilize in rigging elections come February 2021 presidential polls.

Secondly, Electoral Commissioner is a problem and, in this regards,, there is need for new electoral law that we needs to amended including the constitution bringing on board the EC be in consultation looking back from the time when Ugandan dictator Museveni came to power in 1986, on a previously rigged election.

And therefore, his tenure in office should have been used to correct the past wrong, so the current preparation of EC that will hold scientific election voting is not only a Fallacy, because no consultation has been done apart from the president lumping his selfish interest o up swap the powers that be in control.

“No political parties were consulted, the process is going to be fraudulent, no households in Uganda has the Television sets and Radio set. Not all Ugandans have internet services.” Hon Komakech urged.

Therefor, the election should not be scientific election. What does this mean, all the voters will vote through internet, phones and all Ugandans are not still under log mode.

The unanswered Question:
Uganda dictator Museveni is an opportunist, in 2001 the Uganda though he would go because the western world was against him, but after 9th 11/2001 USA Twins tower terrorist bombing, was his beacon of hope. In 2009 Kampala bomb terrorist favor him when Dr. Ambassador Olara Otunnu came to contest 2011 presidential polls. And now again the COVID-19 when all Uganda and the world thought Robert Kyagulanyi a.k Bobi Winne, the People’s Power President came in the race but the world is watching. Will Kyagulanyi kick him out of the thrown?

Answer: The important things we need from the Electoral Commissioner work is to grantee free and fair election in 2021 presidential polls between that would be best case to remove Uganda despotic leader Museveni. But so longest Museveni is still a referee, a coach, there is no way.

The most important things, let the opposition explore what should be done right to win the status quo. We can still wait until September to December 2020 to see what will be done for the majority who are yearning for change.

However, this is the best time to access what the Democratic Party (DP) proposed in 1980 of a new political system that Uganda could rally with to the coffers of rue democracy.

This could allow political parties to participate more, because voters would vote programs of the parties, not individual. The party that will win with bigger percentages while giving a reform program for the government.

All participation in government would be based on percentages outcome of election result and parties would nominate leader including MPs, Councilors and president based on percentages of the result, that would be scientific.

For me instead of scientific election, Uganda would rather think of changing political systems to allow proposal presentation.
