UGANDA: INTERNATIONAL CRIMINAL COURT (ICC) CALLS FOR PRE-TRIAL OF LORD’S RESISTANCE ARMY CHIEF JOSEPH KONY IS BOTCHED PROJECT.

The International Criminal Court, the pre-trial court hearing on Joseph Kony, the fugitive is just a project to enrich the officials of the ICC and party that has been involved only, since the Dominic Ongwen project was a blessing for them, this time round, their attempt to capture LRA.

Elusive Joseph Kony, will never be apprehended, if you arrest someone who does not have his forces, for LRA chief Kony, he is controlling Central African Republic CRA, the Eastern D.R.Congo, the Garamba and the Dafur region including South Sudan.

GULU CITY-MONDAY Jan, 30, 2023.On Monday January 23, 2023 this month, the Dahirou while addressing Northern Uganda Media Center (NUMEC) that ICC persecutor Karim Asad Khan filed a request before pre-trial Chamber II of ICC seeking authorization to hold a hearing on confirmation of charges against Joseph Kony, the leader of LRA in his absence.

Dahirou argued the NUMEC media members that Judges of the pre-trial Chamber II of the Court are yet to pronounce themselves on the matter, once the Judges authorize the process, the court will appoint a legal counsel that will represent Kony during the hearing of confirmation of the charges.

“Hearing of Joseph confirmation of charges is anticipated to be a breaking ground for a renewed hunt for fugitive Kony, mobilize more resources and rally more concerted effort by state parties to apprehend him, who the US Government has levied 18-billion-shilling bounty on his head to face justice.

Okello John, a residence of Gulu City dismisses the call of the pre-trial chamber of the ICC, called it fiasco they are not independent international world jurisprudent court to stand the test of time, the ICC judges are paid up members of Uganda Oligarchy regime of Kampala. How can the former Bishop of Northern Uganda, Nelson Onono Ongweng become the witness of ICC, if there is credibility in the ICC.

“ICC is not independent, the person of the likes of Nelson Onono Ongweng should not be part of the witness in the Lugode massacre of 2004, when he was not present during the time of the attack.” Okello lamented.

Joseph Kony must be given freedom to come to court, but when the ICC want to trail him in abstentious, then the all issues become a gone case.

Martha Adong, a business lady at Cere-leno market in Gulu City says the pre-trial hearing of LRA chief Joseph Kony in absentia, instead let President Museveni be tried by the ICC, not Joseph Kony, Adong urged.

Margret Kipwola, a food vendor Kony Paco outskirt of Gulu City, supported the pre-trial of Joseph Kony, says even though Kony is not arrested let the ICC trial him in absences. He must be answerable for the crimes he committed in Acholi Sub Region.

Betty Aol Ocan, the area MP for Women in Gulu City, says personally the indictment should have been removed, by pre-trial Joseph Kony will it bring peace into Acholi land.

“Let the ICC drop the LRA ICC case for the betterment of peace in Acholi land.”

Patrick Oola Lumumba says for us in Acholi Sub Region the crimes have been committed by both parties LRA and UPDF, we are wondering why the high command of the Uganda government was not tried by the ICC.

We know our people were killed by the UPDF including creating concentration camps, all the people who have been pushed into IDPs camps were to not compensated.

“Let the UPDF and LRA be prosecuted we know that is money making, not even one UPDF general being trialed, for the last 20 years, I see the atrocity being committed by NRA slashing garden, I buried people all the day who are being killed by NRA, I saw 13 people being killed by the former National Resistance Army now cord named Uganda People Defense Forces, UPDF.”

Betty Aol, calls for the compensation of the people who have been pushed into IDPs camps, it was the government of Uganda that made people poorer, when the slashed maize’s, simsim millet and uprooted cassavas and burnt people into their houses.” What the hell is this?

Oola Lumumba, argues that, instead of the ICC rusting to put LRA chief Joseph Kony on trial, did the ICC investigated the UPDF, the crimes that have been committed by UPDF from the time in year 2002, when the ICC come in place, in year 2003 when the government of Uganda pushed over 2 million people into Internal People Displaced Camps in Northern Uganda, by slashing people garden, uprooting Cassavas, burning people alive in their grass thatched’ houses. Why condemned the LRA chief.

Dr Olara Otunnu has, on various occasions, referred to the situation that was obtaining in northern Uganda during the conflict as genocide, the Internally Displaced Peoples camps as concentration camps (he has received support from Aswa County MP Reagan Okumu) and the leadership in Uganda as a ‘Museveni dictatorship’.

“We in the Uganda People’s Defense Forces (UPDF), find those allegations, though serious and very grave, but considering the actual meaning of those terms and the circumstances of the utterances, very absurd, pathetic and the whole notion just pitiable” Dr. Prof. John Olara Otunnu allegedly said.
