UGANDA: OPEN LETTER TO THE UN HUMAN RIGHTS BODY.
“For how long shall we be washing so call ill-fit NU- Human support staff, take control, by hand picking their relatives, girls and boys friends to fill the gap.”
My end of Human Rights as the agents of UN-Human rights turns blind eyes
I would like to base my argument on the background that Human Rights are moral rights or claims by individuals, which may or may not have been recognized by a particular legal system, therefore I feel not being protected.
Over years I have registered my complaint before the Uganda Human Rights Commission, and Human Right Network for Journalists-Uganda, but nothing was done.
My residence has been under attack by security agents, on several accounts I have reported the matter to Gulu Central police, including Uganda Human Rights Commission. Nothing happened.
The Human Rights Bodies become agent of brokers
A new world order is coming into view in which the principles of justice and fair play will protect the weak against the stronger, and freedom and humanity will find a name among nations.
“Enduring peace will be our mission.”
My concern to the UN Human rights Network for Journalists-Uganda is about our responsibility in the name of protection of journalists and equal opportunity to gain knowledge by creating awareness in training those who have not been attended for in the previous training last year 2019.
The issue at hand is how to address the post war conflict, journalists in Northern Uganda majority of them did get the chance of study or acquiring education in European Universities, but through the UN body they have to revitalize the scholar’s commitment to the unconditional of truth and justice.
However, the UN body their role is to give intellectuals vocation of resistance both of the powers of state, capitalism and ideology, but also those of us who we are the victim of the managerialism and technocracy for its own sake or for the sake of maintaining unjust and exploitative socio-economic and pliant political system.
Today we are facing new deadly challenges that have emerged as we are witnessing agents of rogue states and a terrorist placing their own hand picking some of the people to attain their media training on Human Rights. And yet those who stand the chance for the particular training have been sidelined.
Thus, this in house maneuver by UN-Human Rights filed staff it would boomerang in the short while. The analyst view that in house maneuver is the hallmark of the rogue terrorists, living some of us tongue-tie, what are the motivations of these new adversaries has to be questioned?
Otherwise, as we see it today’s security environment is more complex and dangerous than when the Kampala regime first shorted their way to power in 1986.
The big question that keeps us wondering, the problem is not the umbrella of Northern Uganda Media Club, because Northern Uganda Media Club NUMEC had done their part by profiling the names of credible journalists as per their mandate that at list the people who have benefited the training are to wait.
“For how long shall we be washing so call ill-fit NU- Human support staff, take control, by hand picking their relatives, girls and boys friends to fill the gap.”
At The end of Human Rights under the noise of the UN-Human Rights agency, we shall not hesitate to act alone, if necessary, to exercise our rights of self-defense by acting preemptively.
