UGANDA: PRESIDENTIAL PLEDGES BOOMERANGS ON NRM TOP CARDERS IN THE NORTH
Even kids are crying for presidetian pledges, Hon. William Nokrach warns, i dont think the NRM suppoter in Gulu will not intimidate him.
I don’t think that this NRM parity supporters in Gulu will intimidate me, last year 2019 State house controller gave president Museveni presidential promised, it does not mean that I should give the letter to Gulu NRM district Chairman.
GULU-UGANDA: The political storm, the repeat of 1968 between the Uganda People Congress Party (UPC) Sina group, headed by John Baibia and the UPC Kitchen Cabinet headed by Sam Odaka fought at Awere Primary School during party Gala. Is now a repeat between the group of Engola Sam NRM invisible in Gulu.
Hon William Nokrach, the MP for persons with disabilities in Northern Uganda has been accused by the ruling NRM Party loyalty for sabotaging and blocking presidential pledges made way back in 2016 and 2017 during election of Catherine Lamwaka in Omoro.
Ms. Christine Olok, the Secretary for NRM party barer for Omoro and Gulu District says in 2017 president Museveni promised to reward a total of 16 party chairpersons (each UGX 10 million) as a startup.
Other pledges include 300 million for supporting Church of Uganda Diocese of Northern Uganda and 20 million for empowering youth group in Olwal parish in Amuru District.
Ms. Olok alleged that Hon. Nokrach is holding on a document from state house principal private secretary Ms. Nawe Molly Kamukama of payment already transacted raising fears of mismanagement of the fund.
‘’We have tried to make a follow up in order to let Hon Nokrac get for us but our effort has hit a snag.’’ Ms. Olok lamented.
Okot Geoffrey Chairman of National Resistance Movement Party warns that if the issue is not resolved in a week time, the members will march to the state house to meet the President.
‘’We are giving Hon. Nokrac one-week ultimatum to make sure he comes out clearly before we find way to Kampala.’’
The attempt to contact Richard Todwong Deputy Secretary General of NRM Party was futile as his known phone number cannot be reach for comment.
Hon. Nokrach who appeared to cool down flaring pressure within the NRM stalwart in Northern Uganda says it a good will that the president Museveni promised to give the money. He always tells them his supporters not to put a lot of pressure, because this time of campaign, because NRM supporters may be de-campaigning the NRM party and president Museveni.
He accused the NRM Gulu and Omoro Sub Counties Chairman that this people now they are telling everybody in the government to make a follow up, as he was coming to address the press at Northern Uganda Media Club (NUMEC), Sam Engola rang me about the same.
In the last NRM national delegate conference, there was fight between Jacob Oulanyah Deputy Speaker of Parliament and Sam Engola, since then there a big crack between.
Adding that It is very true that the president made the pledged for youth and NRM party officials for Gulu and Omoro, a pledge for youth UGX 20 million, and Chairman UGX 160 million including Olwal church in Amuru district total to UGX 480 million.
Hon. Nokrach reveal to press that he got letter to direct him to make a follow up, says this is not how government work, the president promised to give them money. But he has no control over president Museveni promised.
If they have seven-day ultimatum of one week, ‘’Let them go, it makes my work easy. They are not the one who wrote the letter to me, I don’t want to be push on the wall.’’ Hon. Nokrac barked.
When push further by the journalists that he is dodging to follow up the letter, he tones down his voice says. We are in lock down, he sure the budget has been made let us wait for.
