“Why can’t the U.S.A, our ally how can’t they not inform us, and yet they have drone and military planes surveillance. Why can’t they inform our forces on the ground, and send warning in advance that there is an imminent attack” Museveni demanded.

“I cannot confirm that my brother died in the attack, although as family we have been trying his phone since the news broke out, but his phone is out of reach. Ofwondo Opondo, the Spokesperson for Uganda Government also agreed with Andrew Mwenda position, both of them were appearing on NBS talks show.
Ofwondo Opondo says unless President Museveni agrees on a strategic mechanism to let UPDF soldiers in ATMIS be allowed to poll out soon, and negotiate with Al-Shabaab to take over Somali Country, peace will be realized.
“I agreed with Andrew Mwenda, on a strategic mechanism, let the Fountain of Horner President Museveni agree to use a strategic mechanism on UPDF soldiers to withdraw from Somali, so that UPDF should not face humiliation defeat.” Ofwondo Opondo admitted.
Corruptions taken tools in UPDF Somalia mission
President Museveni while addressing Uganda Legislators in Kyamkwanzi National Political School, says, “It was not because of problems of corruption within the army”, the attack would not have succeeded when soldiers who were not combatants were recruited to join Somali ATMIS, the problems started here from home.
Most of some soldiers who claimed to be UPDF soldiers bought their way to go and serve in Somali ATMIS, this incident started recently within four years according to the finding of teams of the Black Star News Correspondents base in Uganda.
Akello Grace, an UPDF medical officer based in Bombo UPDF headquarter went to serve in the Peace Keeping mission in Somali twice.
Akello who has worked as a Nursing officer with UPDF for the last twenty years, has her narratives of the story.
“In 2018-2019, that was my first time working on a peacekeeping mission in Somalia, but I have to part with UGX 2 million. Because she wanted to venture in the peace keeping mission and if possible she would benefit too.
But I have to pay money to the officer who is in charge of the Somali peace keeping mission, the first time I went for the peace keeping, when I came home, all of us were paid UGX 45 million allowance.” Akello recalled.
The second time when she was in a peace keeping mission was in the year 2021 to 2022 November when she was in Somali, but they are the lots who were not paid the ATMIS packages.
Why now, when President Museveni came to realize their rot in the UPDF Somalia ATMIS mission, because the UPDF soldiers had the Lion of Mogadishu.
In 2007, before the Uganda Peace Forces landed Mogadishu, even prior to the sitting government in Somalia. The then Col. Paul Lokech together with 20 UPDF spies was sent into Somali and studied strategic operation of the luncheon the attacked on Mogadishu Airport.
And when they came back, UPDF soldiers attacked Mogadishu Airport and captured, since then up to date. UPDF soldiers has been praise for the peace keeping mission in Africa, and they have rank the best, but since last Friday attack when Al-Shabaab overrun the Forward Operation Base of UPDF, Uganda Army need to clean it image, to allow media freedom and calling speed a speed not a big spoon
